I was shooting hoops down at this city park and I saw a guy playing an acoustic guitar across the way. So I went over, listened a while and got to talking. Next thing you know I'm dropping out of college, packing up my drums and joining a band. But I have been playing drums since grade school. The group fell apart and I began studying the guitar so I could wright songs. That is what I love the most. Writing the song and performing it for someone who's digging it.

Ok. James Roberts(that's me) plays the guitar and howls. Bob Throckmorten is pounding it out on the skins. Bob is great. I feel that his drumming was made for my playing. He's pretty seasoned having played nationally in previous bands. Our newest member is Richard Lewis on Bass guitar..Richard and i share alot of interests and can fall into any groove together. This enables me to do more lead work which, I feel, has been missing from our music. We plan to stay a three piece.

(laughs)Well we are each wild in our own ways.. Thats for sure.

Right now we are recording at Freedom Studio cause it's by the song and we don't have to watch the clock and have it ticking in our minds. We are still working on getting everything real tight and it gives us the freedom to get it right.

It almost always starts with a riff and then a progression and then the lyrics. Sometimes it can come from a beat like Weightless Wings did or a vocal melody(without the words). Most of the time though they are happy accidents(laughs). That's when you are doodling on the guitar and stumble across something cool or interesting, and you work it till it's good.

I would have to say That would be myself. Of course I've picked up all the knowledge I can from players but God and myself are the only ones working for us at the moment. I guess if you want it to work then you've got to make it happen.
