Riffstar.com has a new simple optional platform for consumers to trade their email address for music on our website, in turn giving permissions to the media owner regarding direct email marketing to the consumer (fan) regarding upcoming tours, gigs, music releases and promotional news. It is a simple system that the consumer trades his or hers email information for a copy of a song directly from the artist or publisher. In detail, artists need fans and low cost ways to market to the fans, concerts, CD release parties, blogging, merchandising and general direct communication. The fans just want low cost access to songs and great feeling of directly receiving a virus free high quality copy from the artist. I also agree to allow artists to email directly a minimum of 10 times as a value exchange of the trade. Emails may have confirmation links confirming the delivery. The system is designed to trade artists permission to replay copyrighted media legally to a consumer who trades their permission to receive promotional emails from copyright owners.
