Tell us how long you have been performing and how you got started?
|
|
I started to play music at the age of 12 when I attended band class in lower grade. In highschool I performed for staff, students and at weddings/special events.
Beginning to write poetry at age 18, I discovered a way to take my poetry and write it to melodies.
Working with my sister, Heather Renee' Kappler-Zito in 1996, I started to sing along side of her and started to buy simple equipment to learn how to mix and record our music.
In 2001 I teamed up with Woodstock Local Musician Marty Wallace and formed "The Lost Boys."
Playing in the "Woodstock Square" where people would throw money in Marty's Guirtar case and local colleges (such as Mchenry County College) would feature us in news articles in their newspaper's "Arts and Entertainment" section.
After my mother's death in 2005, I moved to Elmhurst in 2007 and then met up with local Musician Ryan La Greco (also known in California(San Fransisco,Las Angelos, and Sandiago)).
Strumming chords I thought sounded quite sweet, I wrote the words to these songs I have published here , as we were playing live, "Free-Flow" in front of a flip cam. We placed these videos on YouTube and they appeared to be well loved.
After placing these songs on Myspace Music, Last FM, and other music promotions sites, I decided to give this great site a try.

Can you tell us how you personally write songs?
|
|
I write these songs as I hear the instrumentals to songs people play (especially ryan's chords) and come up with melodies and wordings to these songs as he would play them. Free-Flow.
I Deemed this would create a "new version of each song, fresh" for the audience as we played. Both the original and a new fresh "free-Flow" form as we performed. It took.
