About AJ Evans
About Me Interview Music, Band members, Producers, Studio's Interests & Personality Background & Lifestyle Basic Info
Tell us how long you have been performing and how you got started?
I have been doing this since the 80's but it is only now my life has let me take control and focus on my career.

Who are your band members?
AJ Evans' Group of Deviants is a revolving door recording project. The other members are Ant Kremski, Patrick Lincoln and John Phetteplace. Bill Brown III will occasionally make an appearance or two on the new album.

Who is the wildest and why?
That would have to be AJ, himself. While Anthony is the band's troubled member, it is AJ who lived on the dark side of life for many years and after the 7 year battle to stay alive, he is not to be deprived of any experiences he finds to be of interest.

Where do you record your music?
Believe it or not, AJ has a small 10'x 18' space in his house. Occasionally it will stretch itself, via cables, to another room, but he prefers to do the sessions one person at a time so he can direct it easier. He then takes the tracks and does whatever it is that he does to end up with the finished product. This is the first time he has shared any of his recording projects, so we are still very much in the dark how he got a record like 'ahh' or Running at Full Speed' produced in such a small area.

Can you tell us how you personally write songs?
This is going to sound so made up. He walks up to a microphone and sings the song. It is then just finishing the track around what he's recorded.

Who has helped you the most with your music?
So far, it has kind of fallen all on AJ which is we have been put to the duty of updating web sites, lol. We are seeking outside help now that there is a truly marketable product. He has spent his last dime for the promotion of 'ahh' and since the rest of the band is broke, we have all kind of relied on him for the whole shebang.
